Eddy Current tests

Eddy Current tests

Eddy Currents is a non-destructive test method which uses an electromagnetic induction in a metallic part for the purpose of detecting discontinuities, mainly cracks, localized corrosion or conductivity changes.

Eddy current applications:

  • Electrical conductivity alloy sorting
  • Crack detection in the aerospace industry
  • Corrosion and crack detection in heat exchanger tubing
  • Wall coating thickness measurements
  • Detection of hidden/buried metals and objects
