Eddy Current tests
Eddy Currents is a non-destructive test method which uses an electromagnetic induction in a metallic part for the purpose of detecting discontinuities, mainly cracks, localized corrosion or conductivity changes.
Eddy current applications:
- Electrical conductivity alloy sorting
- Crack detection in the aerospace industry
- Corrosion and crack detection in heat exchanger tubing
- Wall coating thickness measurements
- Detection of hidden/buried metals and objects
