Liquid penetrants

The liquid penetrant method “Zyglo” is designed only for the detection of defects that are surface connected by the visibility of a fluorescent dye bleeding from within the defect. Following an adequate waiting time, the excess penetrating liquid is removed from the surface and a development substance applied in order to extract the liquid from the defects and intensify the visual evidence, to increase the sensitivity of the test.
