Red Line Project

Red Line Project

The red line is the light rail line destined to be the first and main line in Israel. The length of the line is approx. 24 kilometers, of which 12 kilometers run in a tunnel. The line will be spread over five cities and 34 stations, of which 10 are underground. This monitoring project is one of the largest and most prominent in the country, Gabi Shoef together with the Spanish monitoring company Ofiteco have managed the entire monitoring system in the eastern section, starting with the submission of documents for approval (MOS, MSS, etc.), field measurements, installation of monitoring systems, ongoing maintenance of systems, operation of an adapted Internet system (with software approved by NETA) as well as chairing the meetings pertaining to monitoring and engaging with NETA, Spivak and WSP, the supervising companies.

In the framework of the monitoring project, the Company installed thousands of monitoring systems in accordance with the requirements of NETA, with the installations and measurements carried out both in the tunnels, above ground and in the underground stations.

Moreover, throughout the project, over 22 automatic measuring instruments (ATS) were installed, over 100 geotechnical units (inclinometers, extensometers, tiltmeters, crack meters, etc.) as well as thousands of optical systems.
